1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Synergistic Psychiatry website and telehealth services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Scope of Services

Synergistic Psychiatry provides specialized psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for Adult ADHD (ages 18–60) via telehealth within the state of Florida. We do not provide emergency services, inpatient care, therapy-only services, or treatment for conditions outside our stated scope, including active schizophrenia, severe substance use disorders requiring detox, or court-ordered evaluations.

3. Patient Eligibility

To receive telehealth services, you must be between 18 and 60 years of age, physically located in the state of Florida at the time of your appointment, and have access to a private location with a stable internet connection and a device with video capability.

4. Appointments and Cancellations

Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice or missed without notice are subject to a $75 late cancellation/no-show fee. Repeated missed appointments may result in limitations on future scheduling or discharge from the practice.

5. Payment Terms

Synergistic Psychiatry operates as a direct-pay (cash-only) practice. Payment is due at the time of service. We do not accept insurance directly. We provide clinical documentation that patients may submit to their insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement, though reimbursement is not guaranteed.

6. Prescriptions and Controlled Substances

Prescriptions, including controlled substances, are issued solely at the clinical discretion of the provider after a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We do not guarantee prescriptions of any medication, including stimulants. All prescribing complies with Florida state law, DEA regulations, and PDMP requirements. Requests for early refills or dose increases without a scheduled evaluation will be declined.

7. Telehealth Limitations

Telehealth services have inherent limitations compared to in-person care. Technical issues may occasionally disrupt sessions. In the event of a technical failure, we will attempt to reconnect via video or convert to a telephone visit when clinically appropriate. By using our services, you acknowledge and accept these limitations.

8. Emergency Situations

Synergistic Psychiatry is an outpatient practice and does not provide 24-hour crisis coverage or emergency services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or thoughts of self-harm, call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline immediately.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Synergistic Psychiatry and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

Synergistic Psychiatry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for services in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Florida.
